20 Psychics by Type

1)The Seers

These gifted individuals can sense things beyond what exists in immediately reality. Their senses go beyond the immediate and obvious. They pick up what happens in other places and in the future. Contact one of these psychics if you want insight into the unknown.

Clairvoyants

clairsentients and other clear-sensing psychics: These psychics have the ability to see, hear, touch, and even smell or taste things that will happen in the future. While they may not know what’s in the minds of the people involved in these events, they can describe what’s happening. For example, a clairvoyant may see you in five year’s time, happily walking arm in arm with someone and assume that is your true love. Or, a clairaudient may hear sounds from the future. For example, they may hear a loud screeching sound and know that in the near future, there may be an auto accident nearby. A clairsentient can sense the emotions of people in the past or future. A clairscent can smell scents from the past or future, like smoke from a building not yet burning, or the ancient perfume of a woman long dead. A clairgustant can actually taste things in the psychic realm, such as freshly-baked cookies as a sign that one’s departed grandmother is near.

Remote-viewers

Remote-viewers are like clairvoyants, except that they perceive what exists in the present but isn’t within reasonable distance to see. For example, a remote-viewer could see what someone is doing on the other side of the world right now or where you left your car keys. They can see down he bottom of a mile-deep well or high atop a mountain. One thing that a remote-viewer may not be able to do (unless they have other psychic gifts) is get into the minds of other people or discover a motive for hiding something. However, a remote-viewer is especially good for finding things that are lost, hidden, or missing. These folks may be employed by police to find missing persons. Civilians may hire them to find people, or lost objects. Remote-viewers can also find hidden things, like lost family heirlooms and even graves.

Precognitor

A precognitor is a type of seer who looks into the future and sees outcomes. The difference between precognition and clairvoyance is that precognition is based on your desires, attitudes, and behaviors in the present and how they shape your future. This psychic gift can be more difficult to understand, as outcomes can change depending on the decisions one makes right now. The best way to approach a precognitor is to ask about what will happen if you choose a specific course of action, or if you choose one course of action over another. They can tell you the benefits and drawbacks of each choice. This isn’t like talking to your high school guidance counselor; this is looking into different futures that could be real depending on your next action.

2) Readers

. These talented people can read what others cannot. They interpret what they perceive — usually images, impressions, or sounds — and explain what they may mean. A reader looks at the murky things and puts them into words so that mere mortals can understand. They deal with the most primitive parts of the mind: the part that sees the world in pictures and not in language.

Telepaths

: Also known as mindreaders, these individuals can perceive thoughts and feelings, and perhaps even see the mental images in the minds of others. They have a direct link between their mind and the minds of others. They can communicate mind-to-mind. Telepaths can see mental images, hear thoughts, and pick up on primitive responses. They can tell if someone is afraid, or upset, or aroused. Telepaths can focus on a person and access their mind (depending on how open the person is). Likewise, the telepath can also telepathically receive mental images and messages from other people. They can also hone in on mental interference. If a person is having a problem concentrating, they can help that person focus on one thought.

Psychometrist

: Pyschometrists pick up information about people and events by touching objects. A psychometrist could pick up an object and know who owned it or an event the object was involved in. For example, a psychometrist can pick up an old pocketwatch and know who owned it, and when they wore the watch, and may pick up on psychically strong events in that person’s life. For example, if the owner of the watch was wearing it when he had the happiest or the worst day of his life, the psychometrist can sense that. A psychometrist can determine the quality of the soul of a person who owns or owned an object. The pocketknife of a killer will feel very different from the pocketknife of a peaceful farmer.

Aura Readers

: A person who can read auras can see or perceive the light surrounding each living being. Each light radiates according to the state of the being’s soul or physical or mental health. The light may be white or black. Edgar Cayce saw white or black auras. But in many cases, it can be any color of the rainbow, depending on what the aura reader sees. Auras can change daily. An aura reader can see your aura and interpret not only how you’re doing psychologically and emotionally, but how you’re doing physically. They can often help you find balance by helping you change the colors of your aura.

3)Sensers

Like seers and readers, sensers not only get psychic impressions, but they get feelings or sensations. We may call these vibes. They may feel the emotions or physical sensations a person is feeling. This may be the category that takes the most toll on the mind, because it involves letting down boundaries and submitting the will to other beings or to the mind of another person in order to gain the information sought. Thus, they are some of the most emotionally sensitive psychics.

Intuitives:

This is probably what most people think of when they think of a psychic. An intuitive picks up on psychic vibrations and subtle emotions to determine what is happening. You know how you may get a bad vibe from someone who just doesn’t seem right, and then you find out that they’re a bad person? Imagine picking up vibes from everything that lives. This is what it’s like to be an intuitive. An intuitive can tap into your personal vibration and figure out how you can become the most optimal version of yourself. An intuitive will usually guide you into synchronicity and then tap into the places that hurt to help you heal the most. It can be a very emotionally powerful experience.

Empaths

Empaths are like intuitives, but their skill specifically relates to the ability to feel the emotions or physical sensations of another person. An empath can feel the pain of your broken leg and the sadness of not being able to go out because of it. An empath may also be an intuitive, and many intuitives also have the gift of empathy. An empath can help people by locating sources of physical problems. They can hone in on pain, feel it, and then use their positive energy to help heal it. They can also tap into psychic wounds and bring the pain to the surface so the person can work it out and stop suffering. These are perhaps the most psychically sensitive of the psychics listed.

Angel readers

Angel readers directly communicate with someone’s guardian angel to intervene on their behalf or to get information. They may also contact other benevolent angels for assistance. These souls can sense, hear, and sometimes even see the angels around other people. Some may speak in tongues, while some may communicate with angels telepathically. An angel reader will ask the angels for assistance in solving problems or finding the source of a problem. Angels can also give wise counsel to the reader and tell them what their client should do. Some readers have their own specific angel they work with to help others.

4)Physical psychics

: These psychics have gifts that manifest through their bodies. They may allow spirits to speak through them or may manifest psychic energy in the physical world. These people may have some of the scariest-sounding gifts, but when it comes down to it, when these gifts as used responsibility and for the benefit of others, they can be safe and helpful.

Mediums

A medium is a psychic who contacts the spirits of dead people and allows those spirits to use their bodies to speak with the living. The spiritualist movement in the late 19th and early 20th century was focused almost solely on mediumship and communication with the departed. A medium rarely has to seek out a departed soul because the departed are all around us, and many are dying (zing!) to communicate with the living. When a medium works with a person, they listen to the souls who are vying for a chance to speak and will relay messages from those souls the client recognizes or the ones who seem to know the client

Automatic writers

These mediums specifically allow the spirits of the dead to use their bodies to write messages for the living. An Ouija board, for example, is a vehicle for automatic writing. While an automatic writer usually goes into a trance and lets a spirit write a message through them, they can also be suddenly inspired to write something down. This isn’t a complete takeover of their body, but is a manifestation of the gift nonetheless. An automatic writer may use an Ouija Board to contact the dead, but this should always be done with extreme caution.

Telekinetic psychic

These rare folks can move objects with their minds. If they will it to move, it will move. They can alter the shape of thing, like bending spoons. Uri Geller is a famous for his telekinetic feats. This ability has been purportedly studied and tested by the Nazis and the KGB, though there is no official documentation on the matter. A person with telekinesis may be able to significantly move objects so that others see them. However, they can also work on a micro, or hidden, level. They can help restore balance to a person’s body by facilitating the removal of bad cells and the promotion of good circulation or breathing.

Psychic Surgeons

These psychics use their abilities to pinpoint disease in the body and remove diseased tissue with their hands, psychically entering the body and pulling it out. A psychic surgeon will use their abilities to scan the body and find diseased tissue. Some may use surgical instruments under the guidance of a wiser spirit. One such surgeon, Zé Arigó of Brazil, cured thousands of fellow peasants using only rudimentary tools and his powers of observation. He made correct diagnoses often by just looking at someone. He cured those who were otherwise deemed hopeless. These psychics differ from faith healers because they will materially alter the body in order to heal their clients.

5)Traditional Diviners

Those who do divination use inanimate objects or systems to make predictions, discover things, or psychically aid others. Traditional divination is the art of witches, grannies, Druids, and others. Divination is the interpretation of patterns found in nature or in circumstances as divine messages about what is sought. Some of these traditions are more spiritual than others.

Tarot card readers

Tarot card readers are psychics who use a deck of 78 cards to divine the future. They interpret the rich symbolism in the pictures on those cards to answer your questions. First invented in the 16th century, tarot card divination has been popular with fortune-tellers from carnivals to modern-day psychics. This is variation on a long human history of interpreting symbols from cast objects, such as casting runes. Cards are chosen and placed in an arrangement known as a spread. The rich imagery in the cards cover just about every possible human experience, desire, or fear. Tarot card readings are a great way to find out what the universe has in store for you and what you should do to avoid or achieve it.

Scryers

Scyers look into reflective objects and interpret what they see. They may use such things as crystal balls, mirrors, fire, or pools of water. Witches may look into their cauldrons or chalices and wait for images. A scryer will become still, focusing on nothing, and wait for pictures to appear. When asked a question, they stare silently, keeping their minds still and focused, waiting for pictures to show up to guide them toward the answer. Some scryers may not see anything with their eyes, but pick up psychic impressions as their minds become still.

Palm and face readers

Palm and face readers interpret the unique line patterns on the palms of the hand and the features of the face to determine someone’s future. This is very old and still popular form of divination. Palm and face reading can tell a person about their potential from birth, and well as what to expect based on the nature of the lines in the palm or the features of the face. Also, as faces and even palms can change over time, these readers can tell you how your fortunes change with these physical changes.

Tea-leaf reader

This psychic may use a regular or fortune-telling tea cup. They pour tea or coffee without a filter, drink or pour out the liquid, and interpret the shapes or placement of the leaves or grounds. Traditionally, regular cups were used. The psychic will interpret the shapes, similar to the way a person may see shapes in passing clouds. These shapes are metaphors for the state of a person’s life. For example, a shape that looks like a butterfly may indicate more pleasant social contacts in the future, and a snake may mean deception. Fortune-telling teacups have symbolic shapes and perhaps even astrological symbols. The shapes that the leaves land on indicate developments in a person’s life.

Psychic astrology

Astrologers generally don’t identify as psychics, but some psychics are astrologers. They use astrology to enhance their psychic readings, predict events, and decide the best times to do things. A psychic astrologer will ask for your birth date, birth location, and birth time to draw up your personal horoscope. They will read the horoscope much like any astrologer does, except that they are guided largely by their psychic abilities. This allows them to see more into the heart of the problem that the horoscope alone doesn’t.

Shamans/faith healer

Shamans and faith healers go into an altered state where they contact spirits to assist them. Thousands of years ago, shamanism was a common form of religion. A shaman will go into a trance or altered state of mind. They may use hallucinogenic drugs, music, or chanting to get in touch with the spirit realm and their spirit guides. From there, they will be taught what to do in a given situation. Shamans seek their guides for assistance in matters such as health, relationships, direction, spiritual healing, and spiritual cleansing. Shamans undergo years of intense and dedicated training in order to not only learn all of the sacred and ancient knowledge of their path, but to be a good intercessor between the human and spirit world. Edgar Cayce, on the other hand, was a born faith healer. People would write to him asking for his help in finding a cure to their mysterious diseases and incurable ailments. Cayce would go into a trance and search the Akashic Record for the cures.

Energy healer

These psychics use nothing but the energy they gather or channel. They may use reiki or some other method of gathering energy and sending it near or far, as in the case of remote healers. These psychics may look too no-frills for some, but they pack a psychic wallop. They can direct energy from their body to another. An energy healer can gather and focus energy from the sources around it and direct it. Some can even generate enough electricity to give people shocks or to set paper on fire. Energy healers don’t need to be close by to help people, because energy doesn’t weaken or change with time or distance. These psychics usually discover their gift after blowing out light bulbs, accidentally shocking people, and wearing out electronics more quickly and more often than other people do.
