What’s the Empress Card?
So, I started writing about the major arcana, choosing a random card to write about. Last time, I wrote about the Wheel of Fortune.. This week, I’ve chosen the Empress card, as her Benevolence is showing up in my personal readings lately.
The Empress card is the 3rd card in the major arcana. It comes between The High Priestess and the Emperor. She’s a benevolent card, and usually brings good fortune. The Empress, in a way, blesses things. She provides fertile ground for seeds of imagination and wonder to grow.
You Are Too Blessed to Be Stressed
The Empress card shows up to let the querent know that whatever it is they want to do, it’s all good. The card brings blessings, fertility, and beauty wherever she goes. She is representative of the high feminine, the anima, of Venusian energy. This lovely woman lets you know that whatever you have started will progress well.
What if the Empress Card is Reversed?
It could mean a lack of creativity and hardships if the card is reversed. This card reversed can mean that querent isn’t sure what they want or what to do. They may feel guilty about getting pleasure or taking time to find enjoyment in life, creativity stunted, or unable to stop and smell the roses. They may also feel unattractive or sexually undesirable.
What to Do
The Empress card tells the querent to see the beauty in thing and to count one’s blessings. It can also remind the querent to spend more time taking care of themselves. It means that things are progressing well and that there are more blessings to come. The querent probably doesn’t even to do anything to get what they want, either: it simply comes without much effort.
Stay tuned for the next major arcana tarot card!
