Psychic Vampires: What They Are and What to Do
}

“Psychic vampire” is a term too often thrown around to describe a person someone doesn’t like. Unfortunately, it’s used to label depressed and anxious people who genuinely need help. It’s used by people who don’t want to sound self-absorbed and weak-minded when what they’re actually trying to say is that they’re not strong enough to handle interacting with all kinds of people. Thus, a lot of people who are labeled “psychic vampires” or even “negative” aren’t actually, in a genuine metaphysical sense, either one.

So what is a psychic vampire? A psychic vampire is a person who feeds off emotion, much in the way a classic vampire feeds off the blood of another person. They actually don’t usually appear to be depressed or anxious or even sad…most of the time. Sure, they’re needy, and they can use negative emotions to get nurturing and attention from others. However, most psychic vampires know that you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.

Beware the “nice” guy or gal

I don’t mean genuinely nice people. I mean people who sells themselves to others as a “nice” person. The general rule is that if you have to tell people you’re nice, you’re probably not. These people are often psychic vampires, supposedly sensitive souls who are somehow always hurt or offended because they’re so nice and special. They’ll be kind to you in private but in public, create drama and change the entire mood. They may run off or have meltdowns in public.

“Nice” people, however, can convince some people that they’re kind, but not psychic. I can see auras, and I’m never surprised when someone with a black aura tries to paint themselves as a being of light.

What do psychic vampires do?

Simply put, they drain the emotion from others. They’re empty on the inside and can’t generate their own joy, so they take it from others. They leave others feeling exhausted, cheated, resentful, and full of self-doubt. Psychic vampires may leave others feeling blank or empty on the inside, confused, and unsure of themselves. Victims may feel conflicted, because they pity the vampire and they fear the vampire, because for the vampire, the ends justify the means and they’re not above character assassination and sabotage to keep getting their emotional supply. A psychic vampire would rather east’s someone’s pain and sorrow than go hungry.

A psychic vampire may always need to be around other people and charm their way into groups of people. They feel energized around others, even if others are angry or upset.

A psychic vampire may change or escalate a mood if they’re not getting what they need. This is the kind of person who ruins a good time by deciding to be suddenly offended and runs off upset over nothing. They may decide to create drama between people if things are going well.

A psychic vampire might wedge themselves between people where a bond is particularly strong, or swoop in to be the hero when someone is upset, but they don’t make things better. They escalate them.

What to Do with a Psychic Vampire

Psychic vampirism can be part of a psychological disorder. They may or may not be born this way, but they always choose their actions. YES: they can help being psychic vampires.

The only thing you can do to make them leave you alone is to cut off their supply and make them realize they won’t get anymore from you.

Psychic shielding works, as does gray rocking. Surrounding yourself with white light they can’t penetrate keeps them away. However, done in conjunction with gray rocking works best.

Gray rocking is being as interesting as a gray rock. Not reacting, not doing, not interacting. Not taking the bait. What does a rock do? It just sits there, being a rock. Even if you feel feelings at the time, even if you’re provoked, guilted, or being manipulated, don’t crack. Don’t give a sign. Psychic vampires can’t bite deeply; they need an “in” first. Don’t give them an in.

This should work, but if you feel that you’re being attacked and you can’t stop it, a psychic can help. They can counsel you and create a psychic shield to keep the vampire away.
